Updated info for today...At Emory they will be doing a spinal tap, a bone marrow biopsy, and starting a picc line for chemo. She will be starting chemo immediately in the morning for 5 days, then she'll come home for 3 wks, then back for another 5 day round of chemo. This will continue for 8 months. She had a FISH test(tells cancer chromosome counts)done yesterday and a mutation test last week...both will have results next week. Sounds confusing, I know...we will share more when we know. Prayers are needed and appreciated!

  1. Charmaine is one tough cookie!! The strength and willpower she has to FIGHT this horrible disease is amazing! I aspire to be more like her. She also has such an awesome FAITH in God which will carry her through this journey, even during the bad days. I am blessed to call her my friend and part of my extended family! Please know that Dick & I are here to do ANYTHING we can to help lessen the load for any and all of you. Please look at Connie and remember that GOD IS STILL IN THE MIRACLE BUSINESS....SHE IS ONE!!! She is LIVING proof of what GOD and prayer and Emory did just 3 1/2 short years ago. "Our CC" is just one of the many people we had praying for "Our" Connie. Please know that we have some of those same 'PRAYER WARRIORS' praying for CC! Oh how we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CC!!
Please let her know I have dusted off my war boots & put on my armor! Meme is READY TO FIGHT!! We fought Lymphoma & WON, so bring on Leukemia!! GO-FIGHT-WIN!!! Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Love to all of you...Donna & Dick

  4. Hey Nat! Angela told our family about Charmaine today. Please let her know that we are praying hard for her and for all of you! You of all people know how AMAZING your mom is and all the wonderful things she has done for my family over the years. Especially during some very hard times we didn't think we would get through. We love you all very much and are here and praying. God will do amazing things in this!
